Registration fee
Registration is now open, and required for all attendees. You can register at https://www.congres.ugent.be/cartography2014
The site will open in a new window and can be closed when the registration procedure is completed.
The "early bird" registration fee is €50 for all three days, and €25 for each single day. "Early bird" registration is possible until 23 May 2014. After that day, the fee for three days is €70, and €30 for each single day. The fee includes access to all talks, a conference folder, and drinks and snacks during the breaks, as well as free wifi.
Please note that registration is free for all speakers, members of CRISSP and members of UGent staff! Nevertheless, everyone is required to register, in order to give us an idea of how many people to cater for.
Speakers' & Social Dinner
There will be two dinners organised by GIST. The first dinner, the speakers' dinner, on Wednesday 4 June, is for the speakers only and will be held at Het Pand (the restaurant at the conference venue itself).
There will be a second, social dinner on Thursday 5 June for every participant who wants to join. The dinner will be held at Het Klokhuys, and costs €40 (to be paid in cash upon arrival at the registration desk). If you want to attend the social dinner, please send an e-mail with your menu choices (and dietary requirements) to before May 28.
The different menu options for this social dinner are the following (wine and water included):
entree:
- Carpaccio of red tuna with a mousse of Mozzarella OR
- Flemish Asparagus (veg.) OR
- Risotto of rice with fried scampi's and shellfish jus
main course:
- Duo of salmon and haddock with delicate spring vegetables and mousseline OR
- Beefsteak "Béarnaise" with fresh french fries, fresh salad OR
- Young duck breast with a ratatouille of Southern vegetables, "kriel" baby potatoes with rosemary OR
- Vegetable burger (veg.) OR
- Fine pasta with market vegetables (veg.)
dessert:
- Crème brûlée OR
- Strawberries with almond ice cream OR
- Chocolate brownie with vanilla.
